Our Winter Wellness Routine

Welcome to Winter! The days are colder, the nights are longer and we all want to stay in bed that teensy bit more. Winter is a time for restoration, but it can feel easy to snuggle under the blankets and let your wellness goals slide. That’s where a basic Winter Wellness routine can assist.

Here at Pure Wellness Studio, we recommend a Winter Wellness routine that looks a little like this...

When that pesky alarm goes off, don’t hit snooze quite yet. Instead, we start off with a quick spritz of our energy inducing 'DETOXIFY' Body Mist. With energising peppermint and grapefruit oil, you won’t be missing those extra 5 minutes of zzz's. We follow this with a moment of gratitude - whether you want to write this down or mentally take note what you’re grateful for, simply take a second to say thank you.

Still drowsy? While the tea is brewing greet the morning with some simple stretches. They don’t call it a sun salutation for no reason!

After a hearty, warming breakfast we’re ready to head off to work.

Avoid that pesky midday slump by taking a five minute meditation break. Sometimes taking a step back from your work is the key to getting more work done! Regular stretching and hydration also aid your productivity in the workplace.

Still feeling slow? In the warmer seasons there’s no better pick me up than taking in some sunny rays, but in winter this is trickier to do. Luckily, our infrared saunas have a similar effect, mimicking the infrared qualities of sunlight without the harmful UV properties. More than just a midday break, our infrared saunas have an array of benefits, including but not limited to cell immunity, pain relief, improved blood circulation, weight loss and detoxification. Sneak in a cheeky midday sauna on your lunch break and go back to work refreshed and ready to tackle whatever the day throws at you.

After work, there's nothing that winds us down like a yoga class. Not only is yoga great for physical fitness, it also allows us to transition from 'work mode' to 'home mode' by inducing relaxation and calm.

Once we're home, we love to treat ourselves to a healthy dinner, more tea and a bath drawn with essential oils.

Kick back and relax, you deserve it!
