  • What is an Infrared Sauna? Are they safe?
    While infrared is invisible to the human eye, it is a light wave that is next to the colour red on the electromagnetic spectrum. While we cannot see it we can feel it as heat. This infrared heat is what powers the infrared saunas. Infrared heat is regularly used in newborn incubators, heat lamps, and appliances such as toasters. ​ Yes infrared saunas are safe. While traditional saunas use heated rocks to increase the temperature (which can also make it hard to breathe), infrared saunas heat the body directly, not the air, making it a very comfortable experience. In an infrared sauna your core temperature rises slowly, which gently releases unwanted toxins from your body.
  • Do I need to arrive early for my session?
    Yes, we appreciate it if you can arrive 5-10 mins before your scheduled session. We need a small amount of time between sessions to clean the rooms and setup for the next session so we ask that you exit your room when your session is complete. You’re more than welcome to spend some time in our lounge area after this!
  • How long is a sweat session?
    All of our sessions run for 45 minutes.
  • Are the Infrared Sauna rooms private?
    Yes, all are private. We have three saunas. Two of them have space for two people, so if you choose you can always bring a friend. You can find out more about each sauna on our Infrared Therapy page.
  • Who should be careful when using Infrared Saunas?
    People with cardiovascular conditions or people who are prone to bleeding, people over 55 years old. Children under the age of 12 must be supervised when using the saunas. We do not recommend the sauna for pregnant women. Anyone suffering from health conditions, or anyone who is unsure about using the infrared sauna, should always consult their doctor before use.
  • How are the sauna cabins cleaned?
    Our saunas are cleaned in between each session with natural cleaning products. Other benefits of infrared heat is that it is a natural disinfectant and kills 99% of bacteria, meaning the saunas are a naturally clean environment.
  • How often should I use an Infrared Sauna?
    The frequency of use does depend on what you wish to achieve from using our saunas, they can be used daily however we generally recommend visiting us 1-3 times a week.
  • What should I wear to the session?
    Our saunas are completely private so you can wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. Most people just wear a towel while in the sauna however you can wear underwear or bathers if you prefer.
  • Do I need to bring anything with me?
    Just yourself and a comfortable change of clothes! We also recommend you bring a bottle of water along with you, if you don't have any water with you, bottled water can be purchased at the studio. We provide a towel and a bathrobe for use during your session. Extra towels can be hired for $2 each. You can also choose to relax in our lounge before and after your session.
  • What should I refrain from?
    We ask that you do not bring any plastic water bottles into the sauna rooms, there is filtered water provided in each of our sauna rooms for your convenience. In order to achieve the best results from your sauna experience we ask that you do not apply any skin products, lotions and oils, to your skin before your session.
  • What should I do during my session?
    Your time in the sauna is a time for you to focus on you. Many of our clients like to bring a book or magazine to read during their session, others prefer to bring headphones so they can relax and listen to music. Our Rejuvenate sauna room includes in-built entertainment features such as Netflix, Spotify, and social media access. We also recommend stretching during your sauna session, or even having a nap - our Relax solo pod is great for this!
  • Do you have shower facilities?
    Yes we do! We have two showers available for you to use after your session if you need to head off straight away. The use of our shower facilities is included in all our packages. A towel and bathrobe are also included in your booking, extra towels can be hired for $2 each. For more information on our packages click here.
  • How do I book a session?
    All our sessions are booked through our online booking system, which you can access here. If you have any questions while completing your booking please get in touch.
  • Do you have a cancellation policy?
    Once purchased, a session is non-refundable, however your credit remains valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Arrival Policy We recommend you plan to arrive for your treatment no less than 15 minutes before your scheduled time. This allows for the completion of any necessary paperwork and/or assessments prior to treatment. ​ **Please complete the relevant online forms prior to your appointment. ​ Refund Policy Once purchased, all treatments, including Infrared sauna, Massage Therapy, Wellness Facials, and Pure/Couples Packages are non-refundable, however your credit remains valid for 3 months from the date of purchase. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, you may be subject to cancellation fees which are outlined below. ​ Changes in personal circumstances does not entitle a purchaser to retain their credit for bookings. However, in some circumstances including extreme weather, illness or bereavement, you may be entitled to the full credit of your booking, without any cancellation fees. We will assess extreme circumstances on a case-by-case basis with any relevant documentation provided. ​ Infrared Sauna If your booking is cancelled or rescheduled a minimum of ... 24 hours before your booking, you can retain the credit for your rescheduled treatment time 12 hours before your booking, your booking will not be credited Massage Therapy, Wellness Facials, and Pure/Couples Packages If your booking is cancelled or rescheduled a minimum of ... 72 hours before your booking, you can retain the credit for your rescheduled treatment time. between 24-72 hours before your booking, without suitable cause, you are subject to a 50% rescheduling fee. within 24 hours of your booking, without suitable cause, you are subject to a 75% rescheduling fee. ​ Cancellations within 2 hours of your booking will not be credited. ​ If a rescheduled date is available, you are only permitted to reschedule once, any further reschedules are subject to a 100% rescheduling fee. ​ **If you need to cancel please contact us directly by phone on 0468 852 555. ​ Late Policy We will do everything we can to ensure you receive your full treatment time. However if you arrive late, please be mindful that your treatment time will be shortened to accommodate the remainder of the scheduled time. This is to ensure that we run on time for our other clients and respect our therapists time.
