FAQ's for Yoga Beginners



What is yoga and of what benefit is it?

Yoga is an ancient art that has been practiced for thousands of years. It involves the use of movement, breathing and meditation to achieve a healthy balance between one’s own mind and body. There are many benefits of yoga, including improvement in sleep, flexibility, stamina and awareness.


Do I have to be flexible?

You are not expected to be flexible from the get go. There are different levels of yoga classes for this very reason. In addition your instructor provides props like blocks or pillows to assist you with posture until your body gets comfortable doing so in time. Our yoga teachers are happy to answer any questions you may have about their classes.


What do I wear?

So long as you are comfortable and able to move without restriction, you can wear whatever you like. Work out clothes or loose fitting sweats are perfect. Shoes are optional.


How often should I practice yoga?

This is a personal choice, however we suggest at least a weekly yoga class to keep you limber.
